Moon Madness, Carnivals, Game Shows and Dancing!
Since we’re doing all things solar on Sunday, we figured it could be fun to give the moon some equal time! Come
gather together under the light of the moon in the Grove on Thursday night from 7-10pm to celebrate the opening of our
19th annual conference.
Go wild and crazy and wear your most outrageous and fun clothes in blue, silver
and white. Or, dress like an astronaut, werewolf, wizard, or in whatever moon-themed costume you can think of!
Howl (and dance) to the tunes of DJ music - moon-themed of course!
While cheese might be a good theme
for food at a moon party – we thought you’d prefer ice cream instead! We’ll have a variety of ice cream
treats available for $2 each
We also thought it might be fun to do a drum circle this at our moon party!
Bring your own rhythm instrument. Don’t have a shaker, drum, tambourine or maracas? We will have a few to borrow.
We will also have supplies available to make some simple instruments. We could use a leader too – so if
that’s something you’d like to do, just let us know!
Looking forward to seeing all of your as we kick
off the conference – Moon Madness style!
Well, now we’ve told you about Moon Madness on Thursday night,
but what about the rest of the weekend? Wonder no more!
On Friday night, we’ve got something new to
try for the evening. Since the teens are doing their own carnival that night over in Edgewater from about 7:30-10:30pm,
we thought we’d make a night of fun and games in the Grove as well! From 7-8pm, we’ll have a mini
Carnival of our own, with face painting and perhaps a few carnival performers doing their thing for the first part of the
evening. But the big event for the evening is our very first Family Game Show! Presented by local improv group, Kidomedy,
this is sure to be a lot of fun for the whole family!
We’ll have big soft pretzels and popcorn
for sale on Friday evening in the Grove as well, for $2.
After the teens finish their carnival in Edgewater, they’ll
pack it up and change rooms to have a late night Teen Pajama Party from 11pm-1am to hang out, relax and watch some movies!
Saturday evening is always a busy time! We start the early evening with our yearly Art and Craft festival
from 5-7pm in the Grove. We’ll also move our Silent Auction items to the Grove for final bidding at
that time – the auction will close at 8pm. Since it was so much fun last year, the teens have decided
to have a Techno Dance again on Saturday night! Wear your glow-y things! For the rest of us, starting around 8pm,
we’ll enjoy some lively music by country band “Little Sister” for the evening. Relax with friends
or dance the night away – whatever strikes your fancy! We hope to make it a fun evening for all!
Are you excited yet? We are! You are too? Then go register!! Last day to register online is tomorrow!!

The TCC is busy planning all kinds of fun and interesting events for this year! The one they want you to know about
right now, is happening on Thursday night to help kick off the teen conference this year!
Operation Dark Night
is an exciting new Thursday night teen event. It will be a combination scavenger hunt, haunted house, and puzzle-solving icebreaker
