This year's conference was fantastic. This was the first year we hosted some workshops and that added level of involvement really made the time extra special. The best part about the conference to us is how everyone seems so welcoming and friendly - it is like we are all this huge homeschooling family.   My ten year old's favorite conference highlights were swimming in the pool - "Whirlpool!!!" - and the Activated Storytellers.  My three year old's favorites were swimming in the pool and the Children's Playroom. My favorite part was spending time with my guys just having fun. -- Tamara

We had a great time!  It was our first conference and even my husband and 5 year old were totally sold on going next year. Steve is even planning to offer to
teach a D&D session for the teens.  Thanks to everyone for being so kind and welcoming to us.   We'll be there next year! --

My family and I had a blast at the 2007 homeschool conference.  There was soooooo much stuff going on and things to do.  I got to see my husband act like a big kid and play in the construction zone for over an our, relax in the playroom while our two girls just played with toys, toys, and more toys. The workshops were great even though we only went to a handful. But that's the beauty of the conference-- You don't have to attend everything to have a good time.  I loved hanging out with all the homeschooling parents and watching everyone have fun.  This will be our first year "officially" homeschooling and the conference gave me much needed confidence.  Did I mention this was our first year attending the conference?  We will definitely be going again next year! -- Chrissy

Being that this was my first HSC conference, I was impressed with all the children's activities.  My 9 year old loved making jewelry, flip flops, masks, sock puppets, and creating new toy sculptures.   The hotel pool was a treat for us after a long day of playing and learning.  I have a daughter with multi-neurological diagnosises and several parents were very appreciative of all the research I had done over the past ten years.  I may sign up for a speaker spot next year.

Overall, the convention was an enjoyable experience.  The band Saturday night was very family orientated and my family enjoyed themselves.  My daughter especially enjoyed Super Charged Science Saturday night with their telescopes so she could she Mars, Jupiter,  and the Moon.   Look forward to seeing you all next year. -- Joelle
