Finally, the information that you’ve all been waiting for! 

I'm excited to announce that early registration for HSC Conference 2010 will be opening on March 15! 

Registration for members, ages 5 and up, is only $90. 

Registration includes our keynote session with Linda Dobson, featured speakers Sandra Dodd, Diane Flynn Keith, stories and workshops with renowned storyteller, Jim Weiss,  unlimited workshops, activities, teen events (over 100 sessions!) , family dances, admission to our expanded vendor hall, Recycled Resource Room, Children’s Play Room and Water Play Station, Game and Art Decks, Construction Zone, plus our new activity salons: Bead and Fiber Arts, Paper Arts (formerly ATC Room), Literary and Brain Games, our Alchemy Alcove science station, many fun outdoor games and activities, Family and Teen night events, Talent Show, Art and Crafts Fair, Silent Auction, Raffle and so much more!  

Caregiver passes are available for $35.  This pass allows two parents/guardians to switch off between hanging out with the kids and attending adult sessions.  An adult or caregiver must attend sessions and activities with children under age 10, and may not attend the adult sessions.  It’s a great way for a family to save on registration!
 
Early registration will be open from March 15 until April 30.  That’s the time to get the lowest registration rates.   Rates go up on May 1, and online registration will be open until July 15, 2010

New this year:  Kids age 4 and under are now FREE of charge!

Grandparents are always free (with a registered family member).

Our new registration system requires that you be a member both when you register AND at the time of the event.  To make it a little easier on the wallet for some of you and/or to bump your membership expiration date to just after the conference, we’re offering a special 6 month membership of $15 just during early registration.  You’ll of course, receive the member discount on conference registration for your entire family as well as all of the many benefits of becoming an HSC member.  It’s a great way to get started as an HSC member at a nice introductory price!  This offer ends when early conference registration ends - April 30th!    By the way, only members can take advantage of early registration conference pricing - so take advantage of this special offer while it lasts!

Each family that pre-registers will receive a complimentary Welcome Bag containing a plethora of information, resources and other goodies!

This year, we will have special merchandise available only through the registration site before the conference.  We’re offering full color T-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bag (and maybe a few other things...) for purchase when you register for the conference.  These items will not be available onsite, they’ll need to be pre-ordered by July 15 (end of online registration).   You’ll be able to pick up your items when you check in at the conference. 

We wanted to give everyone a chance to get their budget together before we opened registration, plus we’re still putting the finishing touches on our new, state of the art online registration system, hence the relatively late “early” registration dates!  In the meantime, don't forget to make your hotel reservation before July 14 - go here for more info: http://www.hscconference.com/hotel.html

Also, if you’ve proposed a workshop, relax - we’ll let you know if your proposal is accepted well before the early registration deadline (so don’t register before we contact you - that just makes things complicated!)
