Volunteers! With a full 3 days of conference, we need volunteers, volunteers, and more volunteers!
As a conference volunteer, you will make new friends, gain a great sense of accomplishment, enrich your conference experience,
and benefit every other attendee. Without volunteers there would be no HSC (or conference)! We need you! We count on you!
Offer your help to the conference and be a part of the conference team.
If you are looking for some assistance with your conference fee, work scholarships are also available. If you volunteer
12 hours at the conference, you are eligible to have your full registration fee reimbursed to you. If you volunteer 6 hours,
you are eligible to have half of your registration fee reimbursed to you. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator for details
Whether this is your first conference or your tenth, if you can donate a few hours of your time and energy, we need you.
Whatever skills and abilities you have, our Volunteer Coordinator.

Registration of Children:
All children, teens and adults must register for the conference. All attendees under the age of 18 must have an HSC Release
of Liability form on file. Completed forms must be returned with your registration, or be presented at the registration desk,
to complete the registration process. Except for infants and nursing toddlers, who may accompany their parents to the adult
program free of charge, parents must pay registration fees for children over the age of two who attend general sessions or
workshops. All children under the age of 14 must have a parent or caregiver immediately available to them anywhere at the
Radisson. HSC and the conference staff take no responsibility for childcare.
Registered children, 4 years old and under are welcome, with their parents or a supervising adult, to attend Family and
Young Child activities, and to play in the Courtyard and the Playroom. Please note the workshops recommended for this age
group in the program. If you are considering bringing your young child into an adult presentation, please remember to consider
the feelings of your child, the speaker, and other attendees; if your child starts to fuss or becomes disruptive during a
session or workshop, he or she may be happier elsewhere. It is often helpful to sit or stand near the back or the sides of
the audience so that you can easily step out of the room for a few moments, if necessary, to quiet a child. Remember, even
happy sounds can be distracting to other people.
Parents must make sure that their children are under the care of a responsible adult at all times, including during children's
workshops. Our workshop presenters are not able to provide supervision. We recommend that you share arrangements for your
young children's care.

Cooperative Childcare
Families are welcome to use cooperative childcare in order to attend workshops. While childcare is not a service offered
or organized by HSC, we will assist your efforts by providing two blank program grids near the Registration Desk; one is for
the time slot(s) you'd like childcare, and the other is for the time slot(s) you will give childcare. Sign up in the appropriate
grid squares with your name and room number or cell phone number. Please indicate the names and ages of your children on the
"I would like childcare" board. Please list how many you are willing to watch on the "I will watch" board. HSC suggests you
offer to watch no more than three children at one time. Sign-ups can be ongoing throughout the conference. You are responsible
for meeting and making arrangements with the other families. You may also choose to meet by just showing up at the sign-up
area prior to the beginning of the session. The sign-up grids will be moved to the Playroom at noon on Friday. HSC and agents
assume no responsibility or liability for the cooperative childcare
