What about grandparents?Grandparents are always free. Grandparent badges are available onsite at the conference with a confirmed registered family. (If a grandparent is coming as a caregiver, they can also register for free onsite at the conference.)

Are you planning on speaking, leading a workshop, volunteering, or doing Work Exchange at HSC Conference 2019? Awesome! Please REGISTER before you apply to speak or volunteer at the conference, as refunds associated with leading a workshop & work exchange are distributed AFTER conference concludes in the form of a partial registration refund check. The best way to minimize your registration cost is to purchase your tickets early!
Registering with Charter School Funds:
This year HSC is partnering with Inspire Charter Schools, Valiant Prep, and Summit Academy to allow families to use their charter school funds to purchase conference passes for students and their parents. Who should register for HSC Conference? Can I just come "hang out" instead?
All attendees at HSC Conference must register for HSC Conference in order to be in any parts of the hotel being used by the conference, and to attend any conference activities, except for the Exhibit Hall, which you can browse for free. You must purchase your own pass in order to attend with your child or teen. There is no teen or child drop off option at HSC Conference.
Are there one-day Registrations?
Online registration is for the full conference only. One-day registrations will be available on site at the conference if space is available.
What about Young Adults?
Young Adult registration is NOT available online, but Young Adults may register onsite for ONLY $15! Young Adults do NOT need to be paid HSC members in their own right to attend HSC Conference; they may be members at the newsletter-only level. Young Adults are defined as individuals who fall between the ages of 18-26 DURING CONFERENCE. A person who turns 18 on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday of conference may register as a Young Adult. Young Adults MUST show proof of age at the time of registration in order to register at this super low rate! Proof of age can be a state-issued ID, driver's license, passport, or birth certificate.
What about bringing extra kids?
Transferring Conference Passes:
You may sell your registrations to another person with a charge of $20 per person for each individual registration you wish to transfer. New registrants MUST BE HSC MEMBERS. Failure to confirm membership will result in a transfer delay. Please make sure your buyers are members *before* you complete this form. ALL TRANSFERS WILL BE DONE AT THE CONFERENCE (as of 8/8/19). SEE YOU THERE!
The Fine Print:
All registrations are non-refundable
. There is a $20 fee per person (not per family) to transfer registrations
The Caregiver rate is for adults who are coming with another registered adult, but will not be attending sessions, only accompanying children to their sessions or attending family evening events. The Caregiver pass is not transferable between attending adults.
Discounts are available to Work Exchange Volunteers, Speakers and Workshop Hosts. All discounts will be applied after your participation has been confirmed at the conclusion of the conference. There is no special registration process for these types of discounts, so please register as early as possible to minimize your net registration expense.
If you are not currently a member, registering for the HSC Conference requires that you become a member of the Homeschool Association of California. Magazine subscribers are not considered members.
All minors must be accompanied by a registered parent, grandparent or other PAID ADULT caregiver.

Onsite registration AT the Doubletree: Your onsite registration packet will be processed in the order we receive them, and will be available for pick up at the Registration Desk, in the Bayshore Foyer during registration hours. Please be patient with our staff and know we will process your onsite registrations as quickly as possible. Please check the whiteboard for registrations ready to be picked up.
